Fans watched in disbelief on Monday, as 17-year-old Arthur (played by Alfie Clarke) bragged to April about his ‘sexually prowess’. Nicola encouraged the teenager to apologise to John, who then forgave Arthur. However, his mother was still very angry at him and their relationship became strained. After the episode, fans took to social media to air their outrage at the plot and the character.
