The Great British Bake Off star Noel Fielding compared Gordon Ramsay to an ‘omelette’ in an absolutely savage dig.

The comedian, 50, made the comment when he was trying to dissuade contestant Dylan, 20, from becoming a chef because he was ‘too attractive.’

He then likened the Hell’s Kitchen star, 57, to an ‘omelette with eyes’ before joking he wanted the remark removed due to Gordon’s hot temper.

As Dylan was sharing his ambition to become a chef, Noel told him: ‘You don’t want to be a chef, chefs are ugly. You are too attractive to be a chef.’

He then joked: ‘Have you seen Gordon Ramsay, he looks like an omelette with eyes’.

With a chuckle, Noel added: ‘Don’t put that in he’ll beat me up.’

On X, viewers of the Channel 4 show were stifling their giggles over Noel’s rude comment, with @natasha_blazey writing: ‘Noel calling Gordon Ramsay an omelette with eyes is diabolical.’

Echoing their sentiment, @amy_tru said: ‘Gordon Ramsey is like an omelette with human eyes! HAHAHAHAH Noel makes #GBBO I swear!’

@AmyJoanne__ also added: ‘”You’re too handsome to be a chef. Have you seen gordon ramsay. He’s like an omelette with human eyes” lmao! #GBBO.’

In 2017, Gordon revealed he had turned down a judging spot on GBBO because he didn’t want to be ‘sloppy seconds’ after a line-up shake-up and it moved to Channel 4.

He told The Telegraph: ‘I’m not very good at sloppy seconds. I don’t want to be the male version of Mary Berry. I’m 30 years younger and more wrinkly than her anyway.’

Meanwhile, Noel has been at the receiving end of a savage comment after his former GBBO co-presenter Sandi Toksvig bluntly confirmed they were no longer friends.

Speaking to The Times, Sandi described her time on the series as ‘three of the longest years of my life’.

When asked if she was still friends with her former co-stars, she responded: ‘Prue and I are joined at the hip.’

Referencing Paul, she continued: ‘Not so much. He’s so busy. He drives cars so fast it’s impossible to catch him.’

And then, when asked if she was still friends with Noel, she replied curtly: ‘No.’

It’s still early days in this season of GBBO but last week it had its ‘most dramatic episode ever’ after a contestant quit and two bakers collapsed in the tent.

Tonight directorate support manager John became the third contestant to leave GBBO after failing to impress the judges during bread week.

The Great British Bake Off continues on Channel 4 on Tuesday at 8pm.
