Commuters at London Victoria have been warned of delays on Southeastern trains after an electricity issue.

While the rail network has been spared any major issues caused by flooding so far, the coast is not clear yet for thousands of passengers eager to get home.

Southeastern passengers should prepare for up to 15-minute delays, revisions or diversions between Victoria and Orpington, and between London Blackfriars and Beckenham Junction.

Disruption is expected to last until 7pm, National Rail says.

Elsewhere, the M5 has finally reopened after the carriageway was closed southbound between J14 Falfield and J15 M4 near Bristol due to flooding following heavy downpours.

The area is covered by a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms, with some areas potentially seeing up to 50mm of rainfall today.
