Huge UK band ends decades-long Oasis rivalry with plan to team up at Wembley during run of concerts --[Reported by Umva mag]

FRIENDS of Noel and Liam Gallagher proudly boasted to me that next year’s Oasis reunion shows at Wembley Stadium would be “powered by lager”. But their eco-friendly rivals, Coldplay, who deliver shows using kinetic energy, are hoping some of their green credentials will rub off on the brothers for their comeback tour. Loreen is med for it

LOREEN is one of the chillest pop stars in the game – and now I’ve found out why.

The Swede, who won Eurovision for a second time with Tattoo last year, has revealed she meditates for two hours each morning and combines them with hardcore workouts.

Amanda: I need MoT

AS corks popped around her, Amanda Holden finished her mammoth 250-mile charity bike ride in London’s Leicester Square yesterday.

I have kept in touch with the radio and TV host throughout her trek from Cornwall to London to raise cash for Global’s Make Some Noise, which supports small charities across the country.

And as we caught up yesterday after she arrived back – it turns out that poor old Amanda still had to crack on like normal.

“Ironically, Chris my husband has hurt his back, so I’m waiting on him hand and foot,” Amanda told me after finishing a celebratory glass of champagne.

“I am picking up my daughter from school and then we are going to get a takeaway.

“Oh, and I will be having red wine, a bath and a massage.”

After overcoming hills, getting absolutely drenched and blowing a tyre – Amanda has now raised an amazing £370,000 for Make Some Noise.

And that number is still rising, so if you have any spare cash to donate to Amanda’s worthy cause, visit heart.co.uk to get involved.

Chatting to me, the presenter said she was now preparing for the next series of Britain’s Got Talent, which begins filming next week.

“I’m going to have an MOT,” Amanda laughed.

“We start filming in Blackpool next week, so I’m having a manicure, a pedicure, a spray tan, and then I’ll be off again next week.”

Good on you, Amanda. I’d be sleeping for a week.

Scout-ing for the cameras

THE cameras are usually always trained on Scout Willis’ film star parents Bruce and Demi Moore.

But she made sure all eyes were on her as she joined The Hollywood Reporter And iHeartRadio’s Creators A-List party in West Hollywood.

Scout has grown even closer to Bruce since he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia last year.

Her sister Tallulah spoke about the pair spending time with him last month, saying: “Our visits have so much love and I feel that. That overarches anything for me.”

Elt: Music saved me

HIS rollercoaster life – and battle with drink and drugs – is well documented.

And Sir Elton John has confessed “music kept me alive” as he spoke at the screening of a new Disney+ documentary about his life.

Never Too Late is a searingly raw look back at Elton’s five-decade career and how he found himself again.

Speaking to fans at the Royal Festival Hall in London, Elton said: “This is a documentary about what happens when you are incredibly successful in a five-year period to become the biggest rock star in the world at that time and having nothing to back it up.

“In the end music kept me alive. It nearly killed me but it kept me alive through the darkest periods.”

Never Too Late goes onto Disney+ on December 13.

PETE TONG is launching a competition where the winner will DJ with him at his Ibiza Classics show at London’s O2 Arena in December.

In an exclusive chat with my Something For The Weekend colleague Mark Gwinnett, Pete announced the prize is open to the public, as well as members of his DJ Academy.

Matty is so bratty

CHARLI XCX has released a remix edition of her hit sixth album Brat.

Out yesterday, Brat And It’s Completely Different But Also Still Brat features a host of famous pals.

These include rockers The 1975, fronted by Matty Healy, who collaborated on track I Might Say Something Stupid.

Of working with Matty, Charli said: “I really wanted him to do the song. He’s like my brother now, you know?”

“And I hope he wouldn’t mind me saying this but I have an endless amount of respect for him as a songwriter and him as a person. But I sometimes want to strangle him.”

Don’t worry Charli, there are plenty of friends, family and colleagues that spark a similar feeling in me at times.
