The Russian despot, 72, arrived in capital Ashgabat to meet with Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian for urgent talks on the Middle East‘s boiling tensions.

Footage released by the Kremlin showed Mad Vlad arriving in a black bomb-proof presidential limousine on Friday.

But turns out the tyrant broke the law in Turkmenistan by driving up in a black limo instead of a regulation white or silver car.

Upon arriving at the opulent Chamber of Commerce in his Aurus Senat limousine, Putin ascended a high staircase to see President Serdar Berdymukhamedov, whose father banned black cars, believing them to be unlucky.

Under President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, who ruled until 2022, white was considered a symbol of luck and prosperity.

As a result, white cars were encouraged, and in some cases, owners of black cars reportedly had to repaint their vehicles in lighter colours, particularly white.

The ban on black cars is believed to stem from this association of white with good fortune, while darker colours, especially black, were considered less auspicious. 

But it could be that Putin’s car choice is part of his paranoia, as the despot usually travels around Moscow cocooned in a seven-tonne armoured car that can resist bomb and chemical weapons attacks.

His impromptu gathering of the axis of evil is taking place on the fringes of a little-known conference celebrating a local poet, which Putin was not set to attend until a few days ago.

Vlad praised Pezeshkian for having “close” views on international matters and declared Moscow’s relations with Tehran to be a “priority.”

In the midst of rising Middle East tensions, Turkmenistan is among the most reclusive nations in the world.

Israel has been attacking Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, with strikes it claims are directed at the militant organisation Hezbollah, which is supported by Iran.

Since the Kremlin invaded Ukraine in 2022, relations between Iran and Russia — both countries under Western sanctions —have improved, with Tehran being largely thought to be providing Moscow with weapons.

Putin said: “Relations with Iran are a priority for us, they are developing very successfully.

“We are actively working together on the international arena, and our views of events in the world are often very close.”

Pezeshkian said relations between the two countries are “sincere”, according to a Russian translation.

He added: “Our positions on the international stage are similar.”

The Iranian president described the situation in the Middle East as “difficult”, and accused the United States and Europe of “not want[ing] the situation to calm down”.

Turkmenistan maintains unique and strategically important relationships with both Russia and Iran, balancing its foreign policy between these two neighbours while adhering to its principle of neutrality.

Turkmenistan was part of the Soviet Union until its dissolution in 1991.

Since its independence, relations with Russia have fluctuated but remain crucial, particularly in economic and security sectors.

Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, rooted in its declared permanent neutrality, recognised by the United Nations in 1995, allows it to navigate relationships with both Russia and Iran without aligning too closely with either.

This neutrality helps Turkmenistan maintain independence in decision-making while still leveraging the economic and geopolitical advantages of cooperating with both countries.

It is not the first time that Vladimir Putin breaks some sort of road law.

The dictator was previously seen making a major driving blunder while zooming around in a black Lada on a Russian highway.

Putin was driving the Russian-made sedan in a bid to boost car sales, but almost caused an accident after making a basic mistake.

Footage captured Putin wrongly indicating his vehicle as he drove ahead of his team security.

The dictator indicated left in a bid to get on the highway but suddenly pulled his car back after spotting another vehicle ahead.

In the dramatic moment, however, he failed to indicate right and suddenly turned his car – forcing his security team behind to hit breaks hard and avoid a crash.

Following his short but dangerous spin in the car, Putin then pulled the car over to a side and came out as a bunch of security men scrambled to surround him.

And in a bizarre Carpool Karaoke-style video, Putin and best pal Kim Jong-un were seen giggling on a drive around North Korea.
