Ljubljana/Sarajevo – Slovenia has sent a unit for urban search and rescue and a unit with rescue dogs to Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has been hit by severe floods in recent days. The convoy has already arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina today. The total value of the aid will amount to up to 250,000 euros, part of which will be reimbursed by the European Commission.

A convoy of 16 vehicles with 46 civil protection and rescue personnel, along with six dogs, departed from the logistics center in Rojah near Ljubljana on Sunday shortly after noon. By morning, it had already arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where it will be deployed to the town of Konjic. The spokesperson for the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Darko Juka, thanked Slovenia for the assistance.
