Drivers around London need to be aware of an abnormal road being escorted on the M25 this weekend.

Two loads of ‘community pods’ destined for a community hospital in Woking will be escorted from Northampton to Surrey with a police escort due to their large size.

One will make its journey on Saturday morning with the other following on Sunday.

They will travel via the A1, M1, and M25, heading to junction 12 before heading south on the M3, exiting at J4.

They will proceed along the A331, A31 and A3, before coming off at the Dennis Roundabout Junction and following the A25 to the A320, where they will travel to their final destination of Woking Community Hospital.

There are no exact timings at this stage, but police expect it will come off the M3 at Junction 4 no earlier than 9am.
