It’s time to remove the barriers that prevent this country from building and stop our economy from growing. Too often, plans are stuck in a backlog of bureaucracy. That is why we are reforming planning regulations so we can build more quickly and for a better price. We won’t allow a vocal minority, opposed to development of any kind, to veto the aspiration of a generation. We are empowering expert planning officers to boost building, not NIMBYs who stifle growth. That’s the kind of radical change this country needs and is essential if we are to build the 1.5million new homes we have promised by the end of this Parliament.
