Xbox finally answers fans prayers and launches six games for Game Pass Standard --[Reported by Umva mag]

XBOX players have not been happy with the gaming company of late following a number of consumer-unfriendly decisions. Earlier this year, there was an Xbox Game Pass price increase, but that wasn’t the only disappointing change. Xbox Game Pass for Console was retired and Xbox Game Pass Standard replaced it. Mika Baumeister via UnsplashXbox might finally be returning to form[/caption] The new service would come with online capability, but would not include the newest gaming releases. Since the announcement, Xbox has seen a string of lacklustre Game Pass announcements, including far fewer games than before. Not only this, but most of the games were new releases, meaning that the Xbox Game Pass Standard library has been quickly shrinking. It appears that Xbox has heard the numerous complaints about Game Pass Standard, as this month fans are finally getting a decent number of games. The first half of the month includes six games coming to the Standard library, and three more coming to Ultimate. This is very similar to how Game Pass drops used to be before Xbox announced changes to the service. Some have speculated that Xbox was reducing the number of games coming to Game Pass Standard in order to encourage people to subscribe to the more expensive Ultimate tier. We’ll likely never know the reason that Xbox began to add significantly fewer games to Standard compared to Console, but the latest drop could be the start of a return to form. However, this is just the first drop where gamers have received what they wanted out of a string of disappointing announcements. We’ll have to wait for at least a few more months before we know if Xbox is going to return to giving subscribers what they’ve come to expect from the service.
