Côte d’Ivoire: Tunisian investors on prospecting mission --[Reported by Umva mag]

A delegation of Tunisian investors operating in the real estate sector met on Saturday, October 5, 2024, with the National Chamber of Developers and Approved Builders of Côte d’Ivoire (CNPC-CI).

These Tunisian economic operators were received in Abidjan by Mr. Yamoussa Coulibaly, the Vice-President of the National Chamber of Developers and Approved Builders of Côte d’Ivoire (CNPC-CI), in charge of General Policy and Reforms.

Yamoussa Coulibaly welcomed South-South cooperation and the increase in partnerships between economic operators in developing countries, particularly those in Africa, which is a powerful lever to accelerate their development.

“It is important for African countries to join hands so that we can prosper. The world is a global village. Collaboration and sharing of experiences help increase wealth creation for our countries,” he said.

“The need for real estate in our country is nearly 800,000 homes. We want to build them with credible partners offering quality products,” Mr. Yamoussa Coulibaly noted, considering that “this is the beginning of a sustainable and effective partnership.”

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Mohamed Ali Ayed, who led the delegation of businessmen from the Maghreb, indicated that these investors are particularly looking for opportunities in the construction and real estate development sectors.

Mohamed Ali Ayed stated that they are also looking for opportunities in the field of electric cable production, sports hall construction, consulting, safety glass production and professional training.

“We had the honour of being received by the Vice President of CNPC-CI.
Our discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and Tunisia. The objective is to achieve productive partnerships for our two chambers,” he said.

The head of International Real Estate Challenge (CHIM INTER), Yamoussa Coulibaly, stressed that this dynamic is one of the axes of the mission of the CNPC-CI, an umbrella organization bringing together real estate companies in Côte d’Ivoire.

Builders of Côte d’Ivoire (CNPC-CI) has given itself the mission of helping the Ivorian State to reduce the housing deficit by working for a high performance real estate industry.
