Chief of Defence Staff of the Rwanda Defence Force, Gen. Mubarakh Muganga, urged new recruits to maintain discipline and serve the nation with commitment following their completion of six months of training at the Basic Military Training Centre in Nasho, Kirehe District.
During the pass-out ceremony on Sunday, September 22, at the training center, General Muganga praised the recruits for their perseverance throughout the rigorous training. He highlighted that their newly acquired skills come with the responsibility of safeguarding Rwanda’s sovereignty and ensuring the protection of its citizens.
“Your training has armed you with the necessary tools to defend our nation. As members of the RDF, it is now your duty to uphold these values and contribute to the protection and progress of Rwanda,” Muganga stated.
He reminded the recruits of their vital role as part of the RDF, emphasizing that discipline is a fundamental value of the force. He encouraged them to collaborate closely with their fellow service members and uphold the high standards expected within the military.
The ceremony, attended by senior military officials, including generals, officers, and other ranks, showcased the recruits’ skills through demonstrations of arms handling and tactical drills.
In acknowledgment of their training achievements, Private Elissa Bizumuremyi was recognized as the top performer, with Private Leonce Nshimiyimana earning second place.
