Three major London train stations have been hit by cancellations, delays and revisions – with one expected to last all day.

A broken rail in the Finsbury Park area of north London means trains are running at a reduced speed, impacting trains between King’s Cross and Stevenage.

The entire Elizabeth line is severely delayed after engineers spent the morning fixing an issue with the electricity supply by Paddington, with delays of up to 30 minutes expected including trains to Heathrow.

Commuters in Euston, meanwhile, may see trains heading up to Scotland delayed by as much as 80 minutes while emergency services respond to an incident between Lancaster and Preston.
