Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has taken Steam by storm as Bandai Namco’s return to its iconic anime franchise has proved well worth it.

If you are new to the premise of Dragon Ball, basically the plot is you need to get Dragon Balls so you can summon one of the game’s three Eternal Dragons – Porunga, Shenron, and Super Shenron.

To summon the Eternal Dragons you will need the following number of Dragon Balls.

• Porunga: 7 Namekian Dragon Balls
• Shenron:7 Earth Dragon Balls
• Super Shenron:7 Super Dragon Balls

How to summon Eternal Dragons

Now if you are prepared to grind you can work your way through the game and get to the point where you can summon all three dragons, but there are also advantages to spending more money on the game in the first place (who would have thought it?)

The Deluxe version of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero will let you summon Shenron from the off, while the Ultimate version lets you summon Super Shenron as well as Shenron. If you have the base version you are stuck with poor little Porunga until you play through the game.

How to get Dragon Balls

So we need three different kinds of Dragon Ball to unlock all three Drags so let’s have a look at how best to do that.

Earth Dragon Balls

To get this Dragon Ball you can complete the Challenges that you will find in the Challenges and Missions tab of the menu. You can also complete Episode Battles or even pick them up in random drops as you play the game.

Namekian Dragon Balls

Farming Namekian Dragon Balls is a bit of a pain in the rear as, mainly, they are randomized drops from Episode Battles and the occasional Tournament reward. It’s a bit of a grind and you can fight offline against weaker opponents in the hope of getting more frequent drops from wins, but it’s not an overly fun way of going about things.

Super Dragon Balls

You can only obtain Super Dragon Balls by playing through the game and completing Episode Battles successfully. Complete story missions to get Super Dragon Balls for the game’s characters and you will get them as part of your reward.
