A spokesperson said: “One fire appliance attended a car on fire in Brixham and crews confirmed it well alight on their arrival. “The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. “Crews also used hydraulic cutters, spreaders, small tools and a thermal imaging camera. “The fire was confirmed as accidental ignition and the vehicle was completely destroyed in the blaze.” Firefighters who attended the scene said the flames had spread quickly and engulfed the entire vehicle.
