A LABOUR MP has been slammed for “interfering” in the US presidential election after sharing pictures of her campaigning with the Democratic Party.

Ruth Cadbury, the MP for Brentford and Isleworth, shared the snaps to social media on Sunday, showing her on the campaign trail in Salem, New Hampshire

Claiming she was “doing her bit” to prevent Donald Trump winning the election, she was out canvassing residents with leaflets promoting the state’s Democrat politicians.

However, the 65-year-old’s exploits were not well received by Brits, who were quick to criticise her for getting involved in US politics instead of serving her constituents.

Many accused her of “interfering” with another country’s election as a foreign national.

Cadbury can be seen posing with New Hampshire State Senate candidate Wayne Haubner, both holding signs promoting Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

She also shared images of the leaflets she was handing out, and signs in one resident’s garden proclaiming their political views.

She posted the snaps to social media on Sunday with the caption: “What does one do after the Labour Party Conference?

“I’ve taken myself to do my bit to stop Trump winning.

“Door knocking with the Harris-Walz team in (swing state) New Hampshire, along with State Senate candidate Wayne Haubner and leaflets for his other local Democrat colleagues.”

The post has since received over 220 likes and more than 750 comments from outraged Brits quick to share their opinions.

One wrote: “And clearing off abroad to interfere in a foreign election is working for your constituents how? Another one for the should resign now list.”

A second commented: “Did the British taxpayer pay for your flights and accommodation whilst you interfere with a foreign election?”

Another said: “Imagine if a Republican congressman had campaigned with the Tories or Reform against you in the last election. I’m sure you wouldn’t have objected?”

A fourth wrote: “Will you be repaying your British MP’s salary for the period you are not available to those you are actually paid to represent? Grifter.”

Another added: “This post is going to bite you on the a**e. Hard.”
