Hurricane Milton is moving out to sea after slamming into Florida as a Category 3 storm.

Heavy rains and strong winds are still blowing, with multiple tornadoes having formed across the state.

Deaths from the storm have been reported in St Lucie county, and more than three million people are without power.

The situation in the Tampa area is still a major emergency as St Petersburg recorded over 16 inches of rain, prompting the National Weather Service to warn of flash flooding there as well as other parts of western and central Florida.
